The Vietnam – Cuba Friendship Hospital was established on June 18, 1969 on the basis of merging Bich Cau Hospital (92 Tran Hung Dao), Tran Quoc Toan Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic and Hang Bong Street Dental Department. . The initial facility consisted of the 92 Tran Hung Dao hospital area (the former facility of Dang Vu Lac private hospital) and the 37 Hai Ba Trung area (part of the Saint Marie monastery), at first a large general hospital. capital with 450 hospital beds.
